Jason has edited, helped further the legacies, and worked alongside the legends who defined science fiction, horror, and fantasy: Ray Bradbury, Arthur C. Clarke, Harlan Ellison, Jim Wynorski, Forrest J. Ackerman, and Chas Balun.

He’s a proud member of Balun’s legendary Splat Pack—the group that birthed splatter punk and Deep Red magazine. Jason was even trained in copywriting by Herschell Gordon Lewis.

His resume includes collaborations with Famous Monsters of Filmland, Hammer Studios, MPI Video (Dark Shadows), Cemetery Dance Publications, and many more. He’s been involved in films like Cloverfield, Night of the Demons, The Signal—and that’s just scratching the surface.

When Jason set out to debunk the notorious Patterson-Gimlin Bigfoot hoax, he didn’t just offer an opinion. He used his deep knowledge of practical FX and suit technology to reveal what the footage itself shows to a trained eye. Today, his breakdown is used to train student filmmakers in spotting the difference between effect and reality.
